Uzbekistan's climate is classified as extreme continental, with very hot summers and pretty cool winters. The south part of the country is the warmest and the north part is the coldest. Summer temperatures often surpass 41 °C (106 °F), even can can reach 45°C (113°F) and above. Humidity is not high. Winter temperatures average about −8 °C (18 °F), but may fall as low as −40 °C (−40 °F).
Most of the country also is quite arid, with average annual rainfall amounting to between 100 (3.9 in) and 200 (7.9 in) millimeters and occurring mostly in winter and spring.
The most pleasant times to travel to Uzbekistan are from March to June and from August to October. In Fall it's harvest time. During this period the markets are full of fresh fruit and vegetables. Summer is the best time for trekking, because it's dry inthis season.
